Falls Church, Va.

Melissa Ramsey, a community management expert from South Carolina, begins term as 2025 president.

Community Associations Institute, the leading international authority on the community association housing model that includes condominium associations, homeowners associations, and housing cooperatives, is pleased to welcome Melissa Ramsey, CMCA, AMS, LSM, PCAM, as its 2025 president.

Ramsey, principal consultant at Mosaic Community Consulting in Lancaster, S.C., has more than 20 years of experience in community management and consulting. Her leadership has shaped vibrant, well-managed communities nationwide, and her expertise in strategic planning and board education has established her as a trusted voice in the industry. A past chair of CAI’s Community Association Managers Council and a dedicated advocate for community association best practices, Ramsey’s commitment to fostering education and collaboration is central to her work.

“It is an honor to lead CAI at a pivotal moment, when our mission to empower community associations and support homeowners is more crucial than ever,” says Ramsey. “This year, my focus will be on examining the health and wellness of both our industry and our organization. I look forward to advancing CAI’s educational initiatives, advocating for policies that strengthen communities, and fostering collaboration across our diverse membership to ensure the long-term vitality and success of community associations.”

CAI is governed by a 15-member Board of Trustees and supported by three membership representation groups: the Business Partners Council, Community Association Managers Council, and Homeowner Leaders Council. These councils represent their respective member classes, ensuring CAI delivers relevant services and benefits while fostering collaboration and giving members a stronger voice in shaping policies.
