    Included Materials

Registration fees include a participant guide and additional resources.*

For students attending a classroom course, you will receive your course materials on the first day. Students are encouraged to bring a writing utensil, highlighter, and any other materials used for taking notes.

For students enrolled in an online course, all of the material needed is available in the online learning. CAI will also ship a hard copy of the participant guide within two to three weeks of registration. These materials are intended to be used as reference material upon completion of the course; they are not to be used in the completion of the online program.

*The M-300, M-320, and M-350 courses do not include a participant guide; all course information is included online only.

  • The M-100 course and all 200-level courses include a multiple-choice examination. Participants will receive an e-mail after the course with information on accessing the online exam. Results are available immediately.

All registrants for any of CAI's online courses are provided two opportunities to take the exam. Students must complete the second attempt within the 120 day window associated with the course. Upon successful completion of the exam, individuals will instantly have access to a certificate of completion.

To protect student confidentiality, CAI provides exam results only to the student and only online. No grades will be released via telephone, fax, or e-mail.

    Exam Retest

If you score below a 70 percent, you can retake the exam for $50. You must submit your retake request within 60 days of grade notification. The retake exam must be completed within 14 days after exam enrollment. If you fail to retake the exam or you do not pass after completing your retake, you will be required to retake the course at the full tuition price. Retake requests can be sent to [email protected].

    CMCA Exam

The M-100 course, while recognized as fulfilling the educational prerequisite to establish CMCA eligibility, is not intended to be a CMCA preparatory course. Neither CAMICB nor CAI assert that completing the M-100 will enhance examination performance.

CMCA exam preparation tools and reference materials offered or suggested by CAMICB are presented as one component of candidate preparation for the CMCA examination.  The use and/or purchase of any preparatory or reference tool is entirely optional.  CAMICB does not assert that use of any single tool or combination of tools will enhance candidate performance.  CMCA candidates are encouraged to develop a personal study plan incorporating a wide range of study tools and reference materials.

  • CAI's online courses are self-paced and can be taken from any desktop or laptop computer. Students typically have 120 days, or 4 months, from the date of purchase to complete the course. During that time you can enter and exit the course as often as desired and the system automatically tracks your progress. Upon returning to the course you have the ability to return to the point in the course where you last left off.

  • CAI strongly encourages students to register online with a credit card for immediate registration confirmation.

To mail in a check for a live course, download and complete the 2025 Live Course Registration Form and send it to the address on the form. Please call ahead to ensure space.
  • If you require special accommodations to participate fully in our programs, please submit your request to [email protected] as soon as possible to ensure your request can be fulfilled.

Nonsponsoring companies or individuals are prohibited from soliciting business in the virtual platform.

Violators of these policies will be removed from the course and charged the full registration rate, which must be paid prior to registering as an attendee, exhibitor, or sponsor at any future CAI course or other event.
